1-2-1 OPEN WATER

We offer 1-2-1 coached Open Water Swim Sessions at Liverpool Watersports Centre (Queens Dock) and Swim Liverpool (Princes Dock) through the summer. During a 1-2-1 coached session, our head coach Paul will work with you to reach your goals, whether this is to improve swim technique, confidence in open water or open water, and race skills.

 

In each session, we first discuss your current experience of open water swimming and open water goals (Swim technique, confidence, open water skills etc). We can then deliver a session around your current swimming ability and technique, providing technique analysis and feedback, prescribing drills to improve your stroke, while working on exercises and techniques to help you reach your individual goals.

Coaching is delivered from pontoons allowing us to video you swimming and communicate over short distances. Swimmers are free to continue swimming in the dock following coaching.

Wetsuit hire is available for £5. Please arrive 15mins in advance to hire from the centre.

Swim Liverpool - Princes Dock

Location: Princes Dock, William Jessop Way, Princes Parade, Liverpool L3 1ED

Parking: our recommended car park is Liverpool Waters Parking, 30 seconds walk from the venue. It's a multi-story between Bean Coffee and the Malmaison Hotel. This car park has EV charging stations, and also has a toilet. £3 for 1 hour.

Changing: There are no showers or changing rooms at present. There is a decked area for changing, and lockers for storage of valuables. Please bring your own padlock in order to lock your locker.

Procedures:

  • You must book and pay online

  • Please abide by any venue or current social distancing guidance

  • Swimmers must wear a bright-colored swim cap & goggles. Don’t have one? Buy a swim cap HERE

  • Those suffering from serious medical conditions in particular related to the heart, or those at risk of seizures should not attend for their own safety and that of our staff.

  • There will be no refunds for cancellation on the day.
